MBS Conferences
The first conference of Marine Biological Station (Saint Petersburg State University) was organized by Marine department of Biological Research Institute in 2000. Since that time this conference was held every winter. In February 2005 the conference, dedicated to anniversary of Marine Biological Station (30 years) and the birthday of professor Zavarzin A. A. (80 years), was organized at the cytological and histological department of Saint Petersburg University. Scientific results of students and researchers from SPbSU, Zoological Institute RAS and Moscow State University were presented on these conferences. Oral reports of participants and plenary lectures of invited speakers were included in the conference program. Actual issues from different sciences were discussed there: zoology, botany, hydrobiology, ichthyology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, cytology and embryology. The last conference of Marine Biological Station was in 2011. However, the event was reborn in winter 2017.
