On the ground floor there are labs of invertebrates’ zoologists and histologists. The building is named after Yu. S. Minichev who was one of the founders of the station.

The sawmill storage
When the sawmill was still in use, timber was stored here and loaded onboard the transport ships. Now visiting this location is forbidden for safety reasons.
Yushkovka
A large bay in the northern part of the island with both rocky and mudflat shores. In its central part one can find subfossilzed mollusc shells dating back to 8000 years ago. Yushkovka has a beautiful view overlooking the Great Keret passage, Keret and Borshovets islands. There are freshwater springs and special campfire spots on the shore.

Leaning Tower of Pisa or Pizan’
One of the few student accomodations extant since the beginning of our station existence. “Pizan’” was under the threat of total destruction, however, it was saved by demolishing most part of the building.
Pilot’s Rock
One of the most picturesque places on the island. It has a wonderful view on the Great Keret passage and Small Gorelyi and Keret islands.

Physicists’ House
Practice for students of Physics Department takes place here.
Duty Room
This place is unavoidable for everyone arriving at the island. All the «Health and Safety» and boat navigation logs are stored here.
